Review:

Okay, as I’ve already mentioned more that once, I really love Christian fiction. Lynn Austin has now become another favorite of mine. I love the story that is told about Emma Bauer’s family that took place in the late 1800’s and continues on until the present, each woman telling her own story.

Each woman’s story tells of her life, and the sacrifices she made. It makes you think about the people who lived before you and what their lives were like. I had a personal interest in the book, because my great grandmother was an immigrant in the 1850’s and I saw a glimpse of what she may have gone through coming from Sweden to America as a young girl.

The story begins in present day with Emma, and then takes you back to Germany when her mother, Louise is a young girl in 1894. There are six parts to the book and all of them reflect on the lives of the women that Lynn Austin has brought to life in this story.

It is a fascinating read with an interesting ending and I encourage you to get the book and enjoy it as I did.

I will be reading more of Lynn Austin’s books as well!
